What we did today

lately they want me to play boardgames. Guess that's better than them wanting to watch tv
Potstickers for lunch
Jeff came over around 12, they were watching Madagascar
Hang out with Jeff, set up Darda racetrack which was in basement
Do laundry, change sheets on kids bed, they help do laundry -- take it down there and fold it
Jamie home at 2, kids and Jamie eat Mac and Chz for snack.
Kids come with me to Lunds. They pick out cereal with toy inside Kung Fu Panda -- they saw the commercials at the North Shore on Satellite TV in the cabin.
We talk about Memorial Day, what it means. Remembering those who died in service to our country. Ev says that's a stupid holiday, we shouldn't remember the wars! So we talked about remembering war, and compared it to Passover, which he celebrated at Temple Israel. Now he thinks it's kind of a good holiday.
BBQ tonight. Ribs, coleslaw, bread...

I'm reading John Holt, Teach Your Own
and thinking I want to do something like unschooling, but I want the kids to have routines and things to help them know what's coming up each day. So meal times would be routine also.

Wednesday Rocket preschool 9-1:30. Take Ev to Science Museum from 10-1
Thursday Rocket speech Lyndale 10-11, Meet Tonya here 1-3?
Friday Rocket preschool 9-1:30. Do something with Everett
